European stocks mixed; German politics, Air France KLM slump in spotlight
European stock markets traded in a mixed fashion Thursday, as investors digested the ramifications of political upheaval in Germany and Donald Trump’s return ahead of rate decisions from the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.84% or 1.28 to $70.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.70% or 1.24 to hit $74.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.10 to trade at $2,749.10 a troy ounce.
Japan stocks lower at close of trade; Nikkei 225 down 0.59%
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.52% or 0.36 to $68.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.51% or 0.37 to hit $72.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 6.15 to trade at $2,794.65 a troy ounce.
